Itinerary

Stop 1

We start in the beginning, with the Apostle of Cuban Independence, Jose Marti. This is where you can get the background and context for the whole Little Havana neighborhood, why it is the way it is, who the people that live here are, where they came from, and how they got here.

Stop 2

Our second stop, the Bay Of Pigs Memorial, you'll hear the history of the historic event and how it shaped the Cuban people that live here.

Stop 3

This famous spot is a main stay for locals, and tells the story of locals here in Llittle Havana.

Stop 4

Roosters, you'll see them all around Little Havana, and this spot is the best spot to discover art, and see the hidden area in the back that shows the history and culture of Cuba and it's poeple. You'll learn why the roosters are here, and about Cuba.

Stop 5

We will stop by this historic museum, you'll hear about their story, what they offer, and the treasures they hold.

Stop 6

If there’s a center of this neighborhood. Ball & Chain might be it. Learn it music history, the famous people that came here and how it shaped the neighborhood

Stop 7

On this stop we will see the Little Havana Mural, and a few other famous murals.

Stop 8

On this stop you'll learn the story of the many immigrants that came to this area, and how they now blend.

Stop 9

Roosters! Hear the story of the Cuban American Rooster, how it lost it's eyes, and why sometimes it disappears.

Stop 10

Cubano! Learn the history of the sandwich, and this one is pretty good :)

Stop 11

Officially, this spot is called Maximo Gomez Park named after a controversial but important leader in the Cuban War of Independence, but that’s a whole other story that’s not relevant to why this park is important to this neighborhood.

Stop 12

Great place for Cuban food!
