Stop 1

Comércio Square: This Square was the centerpiece of the reconstruction that took place after the earthquake of 1755 which has reduced Lisbon to rubble. In a privilege location, facing the river, this is the most popular square in Lisbon and one of the largest in Europe.

Stop 2

Ribeira da Naus is one of the most interesting places in Lisbon. Recently renovated, this old boatyard is today a surprising river beach, with a large grassy area and broad steps extending down into the river. Even though it is forbidden to bathe, this area linking Cais das Colunas, in Praça do Comércio, to Cais do Sodré is inviting for sunbathing and resting one’s feet after a hard day of pounding the streets.

Stop 3

Dock area: Located below The 25th of April Bridge along the river in Alcântara, Baixa and Belém is one of the city's most popular places to relax.

Stop 4

25th of April Bridge: One of Lisbon’s most notable ex-libris! This steel suspension bridge across the Tagus River is often compared with the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.

Stop 5

A unique and inovated Museum Just in Front of the Tgaus River with a very nice view of Lisbon.

Stop 6

Jerónimos Monastery: A World Heritage monument, this is one of the most prominent examples of the Portuguese Late Gothic Manueline style of architecture in Lisbon.

Stop 7

Belém Tower: Built on the northern bank of the Tagus between 1514 and 1520, the Tower of Belém is one of the architectural jewels of the reign of the King Manuel I.

Stop 8

Belém Neighbourwood: This is the monumental historic district of the Age of Discovery, here you’ll find the magnificent World Heritage monuments, wonderful parks, gardens and the Tagus River as landscape. For centuries Portugal was one of the largest nations in the world and this area will always be remembered and exalted as the sea port of the Age of Discovery. This tour will highlight some of the most emblematic monuments and places, such as the Oriente Foundation, the Jerónimos Monastery, the Champalimaud Foundation, the Belém Tower, the Monument to the Discoveries, the Electricity Museum and the MAAT.
