Stop 1
Fort Jesus is a historic fort located in Mombasa, Kenya. Built by the Portuguese between 1593 and 1596, it stands as one of the most important historical landmarks along the East African coast. Here's a detailed overview of its history:Fort Jesus was located at a critical position at the entrance of the Old Port of Mombasa. It played a key role in controlling access to the East African coast and the lucrative spice, slave and ivory trade done by the oman arabs

This port was establised by the oman arabs and is the first sea port in Kenya, next to the port is the old town( settlement for the Oman Arabs and the first town on kenya)

We will have a walk at the CBD of mombasa city , visit the market places to see how kenyan traders operate and also visit the spice market which was Build by the british in 1914

The tusks were errected in 1952 to welcome queen Elizabeth when she first visited mombasa, now it’s a Monument for photograph which whoever visits Mombasa has to go to the tusks just to take photos to serve as evidence that he/she was in mombasa

Mamangina beach is the main public beach in Mombasa Island where people go to relax, perfom different activities such as horse riding and have a didtant look of people crossing into and out of Mombasa Island using the ferries
