"Qu'a vist Paris, se noun a vist Cassis, pou dire: n'ai rèn vist" These words written by Frédéric Mistral, the Nobel prize .This little fishing harbour, nestling between two exceptional natural sites (the famous Massif des Calanques and the majestic Cap Canaille) offers its visitors a concentrate of Provence and the Mediterranean. It is located in the commune of Cassis, northwest of that of La Ciotat and culminates at an altitude of 363 meters. Its rock, which tends towards red, is composed of detrital limestone. Jutting into the Mediterranean Sea, it is made up of steep, rocky shores dominated by the western end of the Soubeyranes cliffs. The latter constitute the highest maritime cliffs in France (before those of Étretat and Cap Blanc-Nez) with a maximum altitude of 394 meters[1], as well as the fourth highest in Europe

Get back to your véhicule from Cassis and head up to Marseille for 45 Minutes drive you’ll get to the symbol of Marseille La basilique notre Dame de la garde
