Then, explore the vibrant energy of Taikoo Li, where tradition meets modernity. Continue your journey through the famous Wide and Narrow Alleys (Kuan & Zhai Alleys), where ancient streets are lined with contemporary cafes and boutique shops.

In the afternoon, slow down and embrace Chengdu's leisurely rhythm with a game of mahjong alongside friendly locals at People’s Park, while savoring traditional 盖碗茶 (gaiwan tea). Finally, treat yourself to authentic Chengdu street food, beloved by locals but often missed by visitors.

Itinerary

Stop 1

Begin your journey by stepping into the tranquil world of one of China's greatest poets. Explore the sprawling gardens and traditional architecture that inspired countless works of art and poetry. Learn about Du Fu’s life and his profound influence on Chinese literature.

Stop 2

Next, head to Taikoo Li, Chengdu’s top lifestyle destination, where ancient Sichuan architecture meets high-end fashion and dining. Walk through beautifully preserved courtyards while exploring the luxury boutiques and local designer stores.

Stop 3

Wander through these ancient alleys where old-style tea houses and small craft shops capture the charm of old Chengdu. It’s a perfect spot to see how tradition and modernity harmoniously coexist. We will introduce hidden shops and spots in and around the Wide and Narrow Alleys, known only to locals and rarely discovered by foreigners. Visitors who prefer not to watch the Sichuan Opera or try Hanfu (optional, Prices are not included. Reservations must be made in advance, and we will handle the booking for you.) can enjoy free time exploring the Wide and Narrow Alleys at their own pace.

Stop 4

4.After a morning of exploring, unwind at People’s Park, where locals gather for their daily dose of relaxation. Sit down with friendly locals for a round of mahjong (don’t worry, your guide will help with the rules), and enjoy a refreshing bowl of盖碗茶 in a traditional tea house, soaking up the authentic laid-back vibe of the city. Our guide will teach travelers how to play mahjong, and they can enjoy a game at People's Park, playing alongside locals. The costs for mahjong, snacks, and tea are already included. (no refund if not attend this activity)

Stop 5

At Jinli Ancient Street, you can enjoy the lantern-lit night scenery while savoring local Sichuan snacks and sipping on night beer. If Jinli isn’t your preference, we can take you to another food street frequented by locals. This street is less commercialized and not as visually attractive as Jinli, but it offers a more authentic, mysterious atmosphere filled with local charm. Here, you can taste truly authentic dishes that are hard for most tourists to find. Our guide will take you to the spots and introduce the local foods. We will also provide food recommendation cards, but the guide will not accompany you during meals. Once the explanation at the location is complete, the tour service ends. Please be aware that food safety is your own responsibility.
