The Museum and Archaeological Site of Conímbriga, near Coimbra, is one of the best preserved in Portugal.
On site, you can explore Roman ruins such as the House of Repuxos, with beautiful mosaics and fountains, the thermal rooms with heating systems, imposing walls and traces of theater and forum.
The Monographic Museum exhibits artifacts such as ceramics, coins, jewels and statues, as well as panels that tell the local history.
Highlight for the reconstructed gardens of the House of Repuxos, which show the Roman landscape.
There are also excavation areas underway.
