Rigoletto at the Jacquemart-André Museum
Overview
In the exceptional setting of the Musée Jacquemart-André, experience Rigoletto up close: a drama of passion, betrayal, love, and revenge. The evening begins with a private visit of the museum’s prestigious permanent collection, followed by the opera performed in the intimacy of the salons. During intermission, enjoy a glass of Champagne before returning to the performance. Created by Musica a Palazzo (Venice), this adaptation highlights the main roles – Rigoletto (baritone), Gilda (soprano), the Duke of Mantua (tenor), Sparafucile (bass), and Maddalena (mezzo-soprano) – accompanied by a trio (piano, violin, cello). The immersive staging by Patrizia Di Paolo, with costumes by Atelier Nicolao, enhances the emotions brought to life by young French singers and musicians from renowned orchestras, embodying opera’s new generation.
