The Arènes de Lutèce is the oldest monument built in Paris and still partly existing. It has been built in the 1st century AD. This arena could seat 17,000 people and was used as a theatre but also as an amphitheatre for gladiatorial fights.

The Collège of Bernardins is a former Cistercian college of the University of Paris. It is also one of the largest and oldest medieval buildings in Paris. Created during the 13th century, the vocation of this College was to welcome and train young monks. Designed to accommodate a few students, this college will train thousands of monks from all over Europe between the 13th and 15th centuries.

The Medici Fountain is a fountain in the Jardin du Luxembourg. It was built in 1630 by Marie de Medicis. It has been renovated and rebuilt in 1866. This is one of the nicest fountain in Paris, where Victor Hugo was getting inspiration.
