Stop 1
Your English-speaking guide and private driver will pick you up from your hotel in Kunming city, then take you to the first stop of the day — Stone Forest. This private tour includes an English-speaking guide, private air-conditioned vehicle, all entrance fees, Jiuxiang’s elevator, boat and chairlift rides, and door-to-door hotel transfers. Lunch is not included, but your guide will recommend local authentic restaurants nearby, and you only need to pay for your own meal. The driving distance from Kunming urban area to Stone Forest is about 90 kilometers, taking approximately 1.5 hours.

Feature: A surreal and majestic landscape composed of jagged limestone pillars, forming a natural "stone forest" that has stood for millions of years. With your English-speaking guide, you will wander through the winding paths of the Stone Forest, admire the unique shapes of the limestone pillars (some resembling animals, some like human figures), listen to fascinating historical and mythological stories behind each iconic rock formation, and the guide will help you find the best vantage points to take stunning photos that capture the grandeur of this natural wonder. After exploring Stone Forest, you will take the private vehicle to Jiuxiang Scenic Region. The driving distance between Stone Forest and Jiuxiang is about 70 kilometers, taking roughly 1.5 hours.

Feature: A spectacular karst landscape integrating mysterious caves, clear river valleys and beautiful waterfalls, offering a cool and magical escape from the heat. Accompanied by your guide, you will use the elevator, boat and chairlift to explore the stunning karst caves, meander along the banks of clear river valleys, and admire the cascading waterfalls. Your guide will share interesting facts about the karst landform’s formation, as well as the unique customs and cultures of the local Yi and Hui ethnic minorities living around the scenic area, ensuring you fully experience the charm of Jiuxiang. After the tour of Jiuxiang, your driver and guide will take you back to your hotel in Kunming city, marking the end of the day’s excursion.
