It is one of the most impressive European style palaces in Istanbul, stands on the side of the Bosphorus straight . With 285 rooms, this Palace is one of the biggest in Turkey. Balyan family constructed the Palace between 1843-1856 within 13 years. After the opening of the Palace, Ottoman royal family started living there until the collapse of the Empire. After the royal family, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk , the Turkish Republic founder, lived here until he died in 1938. From then on, the Palace functions as a museum and hosts thousands of visitors during the year. It is named Dolmabahce Palast in german.

In the 12th century, one of the philosophers of the religion Islam opened the path of pure love tradition and led to the Mevlevi Sufi Order's creation. The name Mevlevi comes from the creator of the order Mevlana Jelaleddini Rumi. Once his book Rumi was even a top seller in the USA.

(can only be entered with our guide) The Church of Hagia Irene(Divine Peace) is a Byzantine church, which is in the first courtyard of Topkapi Palace. It was the first cathedral in Constantinapolis. Over the centuries, it was built 3 times. The church, as it currently stands, was built by Constantine V in the 8th century. It was an arsenal during the Ottoman Empire period. It became the very first Museum in Turkey in the 19th century. After extensive restorations in modern days, it was opened as the "Hagia Irine Museum."

Ibrahim Pasa Palace was the grandest private residence ever built in the Ottoman Empire. It was a gift to Ibrahim Pasa, the Grand Vizier of Sultan Suleyman the Magnificent, after he married the Sultan's sister, Hatice. The Palace was in ruins by the 19th century but it was restored and opened to the public in 1983 as the Turkish and Islamic Art Museum.
