Half Day Panorama Tour from Hazyview

This adventure activity is suitable for families and people of all ages; however children under the age of 10 might need to be assisted, please contact our office for more information. We can accommodate up to 8 participants per trip, on scheduled departures. Larger groups can be accommodated over several trips, please enquire about our team building specials. Advanced booking is recommended. The maximum per person weight is 120kg. The whole tour takes approx two and half hours to complete. Recommended activity if you are travelling in the Southern Kruger National Park area.

We pickup our guests from KMIA airport and transport them safely with a clean and comfortable vehicle to their desired lodge in Hazyview town.

Your Mbombela Experience One Day Kruger Tour departs from Nelspruit/White River or Hazyview or Malelane early in the morning. You’ll enjoy a full day of adventurous game driving in this world famous natural reserve park. Kruger National Park has the greatest diversity of wild animals in Southern Africa, making it an ideal spot for game viewing and safari adventure activities. This natural game reserve is renown for boundless opportunities to spot the Big Five of Africa – Elephants, Leopards, Buffalo, Rhinos and, of course, Lions. We’ll return at sundown.

Explore Blyde River Canyon, the third deepest canyon in the world (after the Grand Canyon in the western U.S. and Namibia’s Fish Eagle Canyon), on this full-day, guided tour. Stop at many of the incredible, jaw-dropping views of Blyde, which extends over 13 miles (20 kilometers). Take some short, easy hikes along the trails and precipices. If you're up for it, extend the hikes to longer, more challenging trails. See exotic birds and rare flowers. Marvel at the wonderful waterfalls.

MORNING SAFARIS – approx 6-7 hours The early morning gives you a good start for your game viewing as the bush comes alive and animals become active. AFTERNOON SAFARIS – approx 5-6 hours Late afternoon is a good time for game viewing, and as evening approaches, nocturnal animals become active. After about 2-3 hours of game viewing, you will stop at one of the camps for a quick break, before continuing with your game drive and return to Hazyview. The Panorama Tour visits well known sites in an air-conditioned vehicle with a qualified guide who has good knowledge of the area. Spectacular views of the Blyde River Canyon, and out over the endless Lowveld beyond will not disappoint. Guests are taken along the edge of the escarpment to look out points offering magnificent views, including God’s Window, Wonderview and the Three Rondawels. Along the route guests visit the famous Bourke’s Luck Potholes – deep cylindrical cavities formed by thousands of years of water erosion at the confluence of the Blyde and Treur Rivers. At lunchtime the tour will stop in Graskop for guests to enjoy lunch at a restaurant, and, if time permits, browse the many curio stalls and shops in this little village. South of Graskop, where the Sabie River rises there are many beautiful waterfalls which we will visit whilst making our way back to Hazyview. Bottled mineral waters are provided during the journey.

The Panorama Route tour travels via the spectacular scenery of Kowyn’s Pass to Graskop the southernmost point of the Blyde River Canyon. Gorge Lift, which descends 51m to the bottom of the gorge in a glass-fronted elevator. Enjoy an interpretative tour through the indigenous forest along the wooden walkways and suspension bridges with interactive exhibits. Face your fear during the tour and add the Zipline or Big Swing Please note that adding this activity might reduce the number of sites visited due to timing. Drive along the edge of the escarpment which plunges down 1,000m and more to the Lowveld. Making for magnificent viewpoints including God’s Window. Numerous waterfalls tumble down the mountains, and we visit the beautiful Lisbon Falls. Blyde River Canyon, where the views at Three Rondavels and Lowveld View will impress you. We stop to admire the geological wonders of the water-sculpted pits at Bourke’s Luck Potholes at the confluence of the Treur and the Blyde River.

We take guests to Graskop and along the Blyde River Canyon to God’s Window north of the town, returning to Hazyview via the Lisbon Falls and Berlin Falls.
