Itinerary

1
Stop 1
Mâm Xôi Hill, renowned for its breathtaking terraced rice fields, is a must-visit destination for trekking enthusiasts in Mu Cang Chai, especially during the rice harvest season. Located in Han Chong village, La Pan Tan commune, the fields earn their name from their unique, rounded shapes that resemble clusters of ripe raspberries. This captivating landscape not only offers a stunning backdrop for photographs but also attracts numerous tourists eager to experience the beauty of nature while enjoying the thrill of exploration. Adventure awaits in the lush terraces of Mâm Xôi Hill!
2
Stop 2
Upon reaching Mâm Xôi Be Hill, trekkers are mesmerized by the breathtaking landscape, reminiscent of the famous Dragon Back Ridge. From this vantage point, golden rice terraces unfold magnificently, creating a stunning tapestry of nature, perfect for capturing unforgettable photos and experiencing rural beauty.
3
Stop 3
De Xu Phinh is one of the three most famous rice terrace villages in Mu Cang Chai, Yen Bai Province, along with La Pan Tan and Che Cu Nha. Recognized as part of Vietnam’s National Heritage Landscapes, this area showcases the ingenuity of the Hmong people, who have cultivated terraced fields along steep mountain slopes for centuries. Perched at over 1,000 meters above sea level, De Xu Phinh offers dramatic views of layered rice fields cascading down the hillsides, changing colors with each season. From the vibrant green of early summer to the golden glow of harvest in September–October, the scenery is ever-changing and always breathtaking.
4
Stop 4
Tucked away in the highlands of Mu Cang Chai, Yen Bai Province, the Bamboo Forest is a tranquil and less-discovered attraction that adds a unique charm to this famous rice terrace region. Stretching across rolling hills, the forest is filled with tall, green bamboo groves that sway gently in the mountain breeze, creating a peaceful and almost mystical atmosphere. Unlike the dramatic rice terraces of La Pan Tan or De Xu Phinh, the Bamboo Forest offers travelers a different kind of beauty – one that is calm, refreshing, and deeply connected to the natural rhythms of the mountains.
