Stop 1

You will see the oldest mausoleum just from brickwork! From the 9-10th centuries. They used more than 20 styles of laying bricks.It has no colorful decoration or tiles but still attracts. Let`s discover together the secrets of it and how it is connected with culture and history of Tajikistan. Moreover, you will find symbolic shapes of different religions .

Stop 2

A holy place for 3 religions! Discover the grave of the Prophet Job and a natural well with healing water for people with skin diseases. The complex itself was built in the 12th century.

Stop 3

A mosque with the wood carved 20 pillars...but people call it a mosque with 40 pillars. Interested to know why and how this place was used to announce the news about a new king ? Let`s do that together! Also you will be surprised with the original portal decoration from the 18th century.

Stop 4

Imagine you will see the fortress where the rulers of Bukhara lived from the 4th century BC till 1920. Discover the ruins in the part of the citadel and a beautiful city view on the top of it. Get to know some secrets of calligraphy masterpieces.

Stop 5

The tower which never fell down since the 12th century...Get to know the secrets of its solidness and for what reasons they used this tower before. Be surprised with the illuminated version of it in the evening. The most strategic construction of the past!

Stop 6

A mosque with 288 domes ! Still active nowadays from the 16th century. The mosque is the biggest in the city and each of its corners is worth taking pictures. Marvellous spot.

Stop 7

A religious college which has been still functioning since the 16th century! Get to know the steps and system of getting a religious education. Discover the typical way of constructing any madrassah. Be inside one of the most famous madrassahs in the world !

Stop 8

You will discover 3 trading domes and each of them served for a specific purpose! You will have a chance to cross all of them, feeling the vibes of the past and understanding how the traders used them for getting profit!

Stop 9

You will see two different madrassah with two different styles in the same square! Discover original classroom of the 17th century and a mosque in the style of a cave. Get to know how two main streams of a religion could impact on the choice of colours, designs and styles!

Stop 10

Discover the oldest mosque from the 12th century , hidden deeply underneath. Be surprised with the fact of how in the past this place was a place of worship of two different beliefs- judaism and islam. Discover a museum of carpets inside of the mosque.

Stop 11

You will see the Heart of the Old City ! A big complex comprising a mosque and two unique madrassahs , also you will have a chance to visit a karavan saray -a hotel of the old days and how it still has been functioning. Welcome to Bukhara!
