Tacoma Spy Quest Self Guided Coded Message Walk
Overview
Solve a self-guided spy mystery on a walk through downtown Tacoma. Your shift at the Museum of Glass ends when a stranger leaves a battered spy novel on your counter. Inside is a coded cipher. Enemy agents are already on your trail.
Use the Questo app on your phone to follow the trail across 10 real Tacoma landmarks: the Museum of Glass, Bridge of Glass, Union Station, Pantages Theater, Antique Row, the Spanish Steps, and the Elks Temple. Decode messages, dodge agents, and stop the hand-off before Tacoma becomes the passageway for a global breach.
Each chapter has its own coded clue, story-driven challenge, and real Tacoma history woven in, from Dale Chihuly's glass district to the 1916 Spanish Steps and the McMenamins-restored Elks Temple.
Start anytime, pause whenever, and pick up where you left off. Allow around 60 minutes for the full 1.9 km route. Difficulty: Easy.
Perfect for date night, spy thriller fans, friends groups, or anyone who likes a story with their walk.
