Stop 1
The city of Colonia del Sacramento, capital of the department of Colonia, is located between 2.5 and 3 hours by car from the country's capital, Montevideo. Also keep in mind that as it is a daily tour, around noon already in the city of Colonia del Sacramento and in the middle of the tour, passengers have between 1.5 hours and 2 hours free for their lunch. The gastronomic offer in the area is varied and of good quality. Additionally, our guide can recommend certain places to do the same.

Stop 2
Visit to the only existing bullring in Uruguay, inaugurated in 1910. After years of abandonment, it was remodeled and restored, to be reopened in 2021 as an entertainment center and museum.

Stop 3
The Cologne sign, overlooking the river, is a must-see for tourists with a great view of the coast and part of the city. A special place to take photos.

Stop 4
The Puerta de la Ciudadela marks the entrance to the old colonial city. Built for the founding of the city in 1680 by the Portuguese, it constituted the only entry and exit points of the fortified city in the midst of a dispute between the Spanish and Portuguese crowns.

Stop 5
Built in 1857, its top has an excellent view of the city, as well as allowing a view of Buenos Aires on clear weather days. Next to it are ruins of old buildings and in front is the old central square of the historic center.

Stop 6
It arises in the Plaza Mayor, and continues on a slope until the Río de la Plata. It is the most characteristic street in the city with its picturesque and historic houses and its particular cobblestones.

Stop 7
Built in the 18th century for high officials of the city, It was the headquarters almost a century after the site for the awarding of the title of Viceroy of the Rio de la Plata to Baltasar Hidalgo de Cisneros. Today restored and functioning as a museum.

Stop 8
Built in 1680 as part of the historic city, first in earth and straw, and then in lime and stone, on the slope of the Plaza de Armas, it is the oldest church built in Uruguay.

Stop 9
Enjoy its excellent views of the city and the historic center, as well as some of the sailboats and yachts that are moored there.

Stop 10
Visit the largest collection of pencils in the world. In its corridors you can also find the smallest pencil in the world, as well as pencils given to the owner of the museum by the director of Faber Castell himself. You can also find ashtrays, keychains, pins, perfume bottles and more! There is also room to purchase typical Uruguayan grocery products.
