Rosslyn Chapel is one of the most famous religious sites in Scotland, made even more famous due to the Da Vinci code novel by Dan Brown and the movie with Tom Hanks. This chapel is an architectural wonder with impressive features such as a sculptored ceiling of stars and much more. The intricate carvings and stonework are among the finest on display in the world. Staff are on hand in the chapel to give informative talks and answer questions. You can learn about how the chapel was started in 1446 and how it escaped the destruction of the Protestant reformation. It also has a beautiful cafe on site serving tea, coffee and many delicious snacks.
