The first stop is the The Elephant House Cafe where J.K. Rowling sat and penned most of the Harry Potter novels.

Next stop is the beautiful and colourful Victoria street which is said to be the inspiration for the Dragon Alley in the novels.

The West Bow Well, inspiration for the 'West Well' located on the ground floor of the West Tower of Hogwarts Castle.

With its towers and Gothic architecture, George Heriot's school is widely believed to be the inspiration for the most famous of all Harry Potter locations, Hogwarts!

The witches well is a small but poignant memorial to all of those convicted of witchcraft between the 16th and 18th century.

Names of Greyfriars graveyard tombstones were used for characters in the Harry Potter's novels such as, Robert Potter, William McGonagall, Elizabeth Moodie and Margaret Louisa Scrymgeour Wedderburn. And most famous of all Thomas Riddle which as all Harry Potter fans know aka Lord Voldemort!
