Mae Khachan Hot Spring is the most well-known natural hot spring for travelers who traveling on the Chiang Mai-Chiang Rai route, where you can do a foot soak in mineral water and relax. The hot springs there are totally from nature, of course. They are about 90 degrees Celsius, hot enough for you to boil eggs in the water. Yes, you will have a small breakfast here, delicious, creamy boiled eggs dipped into sauce. The total duration includes traveling time from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai.

Wat Rong Khun “The White Temple” of Chiang Rai. Wat Rong Khun, better known as “the White Temple” is one of the most recognizable temples in Thailand. The temple outside the town of Chiang Rai attracts a large number of visitors, both Thai and foreign, making it one of Chiang Rai’s most visited attractions. Wat Rong Khun is a unique temple that stands out through the white color and the use of pieces of glass in the plaster, sparkling in the sun.

Wat Rong Suea Ten “The Blue Temple” of Chiang Rai. Wat Rong Suea Ten, better known as the Blue Temple, is a Buddhist temple that stands out from the others because of its sapphire blue color. It is not an active temple, no monks live here. It’s striking, painted in an eye-catching blue with overlays of gold embellishments. The centerpiece inside the great hall is a huge statue of a White Buddha in a sitting position surrounded by contemporary Buddhist art in a modern style.

At Wat Huay Pla Kang, travelers will visit one of Chiang Rai’s most impressive and visually striking temple complexes. The highlight is the giant white statue of Guan Yin (the Goddess of Mercy), which towers over the surrounding countryside and can be seen from afar.
