Itinerary

1
Stop 1
It is a sacred site to many Thai people. The temple is 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from the city of Chiang Mai and situated at an elevation of 1,073 meters. From the temple, impressive views of downtown Chiang Mai can be seen.
2
Stop 2
Discover Bua Thong, the famous 'Sticky Waterfalls' in a lush forest setting. Unlike ordinary waterfalls, the limestone rocks here are coated with natural mineral deposits that create a grippy, non-slippery surface—allowing you to walk and climb directly up the cascading tiers barefoot or in water shoes. Start at the lower levels and scramble up the multi-tiered falls, feeling the refreshing cool water flow around you. Hold onto the provided ropes for support as you ascend the creamy-white rock formations surrounded by dense green jungle. Pause in small natural pools along the way for photos or to enjoy the unique sensation. After climbing, take a short, easy forest walk to nearby Nam Phu Chet Si (Seven Colors Fountain), a sacred mineral spring that gushes crystal-clear water from the ground. The combination of climbing fun, stunning natural scenery, and peaceful jungle atmosphere makes this a refreshing and memorable highlight.
3
Stop 3
Reach the base of Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, Chiang Mai’s most sacred mountaintop temple. Choose your ascent: climb the famous 306-step Naga staircase, flanked by two spectacular seven-headed serpent guardians with glittering mosaic tiles, or take the quick and easy funicular ride. At the top, explore the serene temple complex featuring a gleaming golden chedi that enshrines a holy Buddha relic. Wander the peaceful courtyards adorned with intricate Lanna architecture, ornate Buddha statues, small shrines, and colorful decorations. Many visitors circle the chedi for blessings, offer prayers, or simply enjoy the spiritual atmosphere as monks go about their day. From the viewpoints, take in stunning panoramic views over Chiang Mai city and the lush surrounding mountains—especially beautiful on clear days or at sunset. The cool mountain air adds to the refreshing escape from the city below.
4
Stop 4
Located about an hour and a half drive north of Chiang Mai’s Old City, these waterfalls are not only impressive and gorgeous, but a special feature allows you to climb directly up the rocks into the oncoming cascading water.
