Stop 1

The staff of the tea factory will show you the whole process from tea harvesting to a cup of tea in short tour through the factory. Sri Lankan Ceylon Tea has grown to be the top agriculture export in the country and provides direct and indirect employment to nearly 1 million people! *** Includes driving time

Stop 2

The Royal Botanical Garden in Peradeniya is the oldest formal garden in Sri Lanka. The garden includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees and is renowned for its collection of orchids and the long, palm framed pathways. ** Includes driving time

Stop 3

The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a world-renowned place of worship, where the left Canine tooth of Gautama Buddha is enshrined. The temple was named as a world heritage by UNESCO in 1988 and is accompanied by a museum. You can view the history of various Kandian kings along with their portraits and busts on the first floor. The second floor is a plethora of historical artifacts and religious items. The architecture is of unique Kandyan architectural style with a combination of the unique style used to build “Dalada Mandira” the shrines which housed the Sacred Tooth Relic previously in other kingdoms.

Stop 4

Take a relaxing stroll along Kandy Lake, an artificial body of water surrounded by the Kandy hills and overlooked by a famous temple, said to house the tooth of Buddha. The lake was created in 1807 by the last king of Kandy, and features a small island in the middle, supposedly used as the king’s private bathing spot. Enjoy the views of the city and the picturesque natural setting. *** Includes lunch and driving time

Kandy view point is regarded as the highest point in the city from where one can appreciate Kandy lake as if just below their feet and also the Dalada Maligawa Temple. Visiting Kandy Viewpoint is not just about its picturesque beauty but also provides a quick simple adventure - a short hike through the steep slopes on the way to Kandy viewpoint to admire the magnificent panoramic view of the surroundings with an occasional misty breeze.

Stop 6

Bahiravokanda Vihara Buddha Statue in Kandy is one of well-known place among the tourist as well as Locals. It was also called “Big Buddha” true to its name It is 88 feet in height which makes it a breathtaking view from the entire Kandy City. It was built completely in the year 1992. Located on the Bahirawa Kanda hill which is also known as “Devil Hill” ***Includes driving time
