Old Colombo Lighthouse or Colombo Fort Clock Tower is a clock tower and was a lighthouse in Colombo. The lighthouse is no longer operational, but the tower remains and functions as a clock tower. It is located at the junction of Chatham Street in Colombo

The Cenotaph War Memorial in Colombo's Viharamahadevi Park honors Ceylon's military heroes lost in both world wars. Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, it features a towering Cenotaph and Memorial Walls. Unveiled in 1923, its solemn significance is a tribute to the fallen.

Stop 8

The Colombo Town Hall, nestled near Viharamahadevi Park, is the Colombo Municipal Council's nerve center and the mayor's office. Constructed in 1921 on the advice of Professor Patrick Geddes, it hosts council meetings and embodies civic grandeur.

Stop 9

Explore the lush beauty of Viharamahadevi Park in Colombo, Sri Lanka's oldest and largest public park. Built by the British and originally named Victoria Park, it was renamed in 1958. The park boasts a Buddha statue, water fountains, and a play area. Events are hosted at the Vihara Maha Devi Park Open Air Stadium. We will make a short picnic stop at the park.

Marvel at Sri Lanka's Independence Memorial Hall, a national monument in Colombo, commemorating the country's freedom from British rule on February 4, 1948. Located in Independence Square, it features a statue of the first prime minister, Rt. Hon. Don Stephen Senanayake. Hosting Independence Day celebrations, it once served as the ceremonial assembly hall. Explore the Independence Memorial Museum housed within for a deeper understanding of the nation's history.

Stop 11

Experience the coastal charm of Galle Face, a 12-acre urban park along Colombo's shoreline, a vibrant escape in Sri Lanka's business capital. Established in 1859 by Governor Sir Henry George Ward, it once hosted diverse activities from horse racing and golf to cricket, polo, football, tennis, and rugby. In modern times it is a recreational area for families. Your tour will end here.
