Itinerary

1
Stop 1
The Aqueduct of Segovia is a Roman aqueduct that carried water to the Spanish city of Segovia until 1973.1 Its construction dates from the early second century AD. The most visible, and therefore famous, part of the aqueduct is the arcade that crosses the Azoguejo square.
2
Stop 2
The Alcázar of Segovia, dating from the early 13th century, is one of the most famous medieval castles in the world and one of the most visited monuments in Spain. Twenty-two kings have passed through its rooms, as well as some of the most prominent figures in history.
3
Stop 3
Built in the 12th century, it is located on the current Juan Bravo street, halfway between the Cathedral of Santa María and the Roman aqueduct. It is a temple of Mozarabic origin with Romanesque style. It has three naves, a transept with a brick dome and a tripartite apse.
4
Stop 4
The building was built at the beginning of the 17th century, supposedly over the birthplace of Saint Teresa of Jesus, under the patronage of the Discalced Carmelite Order, and was declared a National Monument on January 4, 1886.
5
Stop 5
The city walls of Avila are a Romanesque military fence that surrounds the old town. The wall, along with the old town and several churches located outside the walls were declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1985. Its importance derives from the fact that it is one of the best preserved medieval walled enclosures in Spain.
