Enjoy visits Alentejo region and the best of culture and wine of Portugal. Our experience starts from Lisbon region driving in to direction to the Historic Centre of Évora, capital of the Alentejo Province shaped by more than twenty centuries of history, going as far back as Celtic times. After we will visit Alqueva Castle and admire the beautifully views and relax with time to taste the finest Alentejo wine. We will visit Marvão and the well-preserved medieval castle located in the civil parish of Santa Maria de Marvão. Will be time to rest and relax in a very nice Alentejo region 4/5 star Hotel. Next day we will visit Reguengos de Monsaraz and Redondo some of the most beautifull Alentejo cities and have time to visit another Wine Cellars and wine tast. Stop 1

Starting our drive to explore Alentejo we will cross The 25th April Bridge, also known as 25 de Abril Bridge (Ponte 25 de Abril in Portuguese) is the longest suspension bridge in Europe. It has two levels, the top level is for cars and the lower, which was added in 1999 is for trains. In our return we will cross Vasco da Gama bridge - The Vasco da Gama Bridge is Europe's longest bridge with a length of 17185 meters

Stop 2

Évora is the capital of the south-central region of Portugal, the Alentejo. In the historic center of the city is the ancient Roman Temple of Évora (also known as Temple of Diana). Nearby, whitewashed houses surround the Sé Catedral de Évora, an enormous Gothic structure begun in the 12th century.

Stop 3

Visite Monsaraz Castle is a unique touristic spot in Portugal. It is one of the most splendid places to look at the wonderful Alqueva Dam. The landscape around the Alqueva Lake is charming and unique. · Culture and local cuisine are just some of the reasons why you should visit the lakeside villages

Stop 4

Medieval village, managed to maintain its characteristics over the centuries. A trip to Monsaraz is also a trip back in time.

Stop 5

Wine tasting ans cellars visit. Discover the different Herdade do Esporão winemaking processes in the Monte Velho and Lagares Wineries.

Stop 6

Visit Marvao means exploring its castle and the landscape over St. Mamede Sierra, Portugal. Marvao, a medieval national monument, one of Alentejo gems.

Stop 7

Redondo village saw its foundation, according to what people say, linked to the legendary title “Penedo Redondo” (“Round Rock”), which existed on the original medieval wall. Redondo is also home of old dolmens, endless fields covered with a blanket of wild flowers and typical Alentejo cork tree forests.

Stop 8

Wine taste and Cellars visit at Herdade do Freixo, located in the northeast of Alentejo, county of Redondo, between Serra D'Ossa and Évora, invites you to visit the property and the innovative winery, unique in Europe, totally underground, that is not sighted in the landscape, serving the purposes of the vineyard without interfering in the balance of the natural ecosystem. Redondo is known for its wines of indisputable quality, resulting from the best wine grape varieties of the region and very appreciated by visitors. To go with the wine, a fine meal representative of the amazing mediterranean Alentejo cuisine. But that’s not all. The meal is served in earthenware, made in this village where potters are just as important as wine production.
