Hidden near Sintra’s historic center, the Sabuga Fountain is a quiet and charming spot dating back to the 17th century. According to legend, the water had healing properties — especially for eye ailments — and people would come here to drink or wash their eyes. Surrounded by lush vegetation along a peaceful path leading to the old town, the fountain offers a relaxing pause. Whether for its history, its legends, or simply the serenity of the setting, the Sabuga Fountain remains a small but meaningful gem of Sintra.

The first monument we encounter is the Moorish Castle, an impressive fortress dating back to the Islamic occupation and the conquests of King Afonso Henriques, Portugal’s first monarch. Although we do not enter, we pass by at a distance, taking the opportunity to stop briefly for photos while admiring its ancient walls winding over the hills, before continuing the journey.

Discover one of Sintra’s most iconic landmarks — Pena Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site set high in the mountains with breathtaking panoramic views. Your experience includes the Essential Ticket, granting access to both the palace interior and its surrounding park. Upon arrival, your guide will provide a comprehensive introduction and historical context outside, helping you fully understand the site before your visit. You will then enjoy free time to explore the palace interior at your own pace, followed by time in the terraces and park areas with your guide.

Piriquita Pastry Shop is a landmark in the charming town of Sintra, Portugal. Founded in 1862, this traditional bakery is famous for its delicious treats, especially the iconic travesseiros and queijadas. Located in the heart of Sintra, Piriquita attracts both tourists and locals with the irresistible aroma of its freshly baked pastries. The travesseiros, made with crisp puff pastry and filled with a rich egg cream, are a beloved specialty. The queijadas, with their soft texture and delicate flavor, are another irresistible temptation for dessert lovers.

Next, we’ll explore Sintra’s historic centre on foot, walking through its charming and emblematic streets. We’ll stop at Piriquita — one of the most famous pastry shops in the world — where you can taste the region’s unique traditional sweets. You’ll also have the chance to enjoy a ginjinha and browse local and internationally renowned artisan crafts.

Discover one of Sintra’s most enchanting estates at Quinta da Regaleira. Explore the famous Initiation Well, wander through mysterious tunnels and caves, and stroll through magnificent gardens filled with symbolism, hidden pathways, and romantic architecture. This remarkable property blends mythology, art, and nature, making it one of the most fascinating landmarks in Sintra. Please note: the visit to Quinta da Regaleira is available only in the tour option with two entrance tickets included.

The Monserrate Palace is a 19th-century architectural gem in the Sintra Mountains, blending Gothic Revival, Moorish, and Indian styles.
