Overview

The town´s full history. Since the Roman times, the west most important harbor of Europe. The Arabs followed, before the foundation of Portugal. CASCAIS An early seaside destination for Portuguese elite emerging from a fisherman’s village, just like so till the end of the 1800´s. From the 1930s on the unexpected happened as international royals and exiles dramatically changed Cascais, transforming it into Portugal´s Riviera.
