Overview

We want to take you through the beautiful area outside Alesund, to the land of the trolls, with postcard views and breathtakingly beautiful nature. During the day you will also visit the Valldal, famous for their delicious strawberries. Don't forget your camera - you will definitely need it!

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel or from your cruise ship.
You will visit the fjord towns of Spjelkavik and Sjøholt and villages of Liabygda and Valldal, drive trough the famous Trollsroad. You will have a lot of stops during your way, to take photos, to drink coffee or have a snack.
In the end, the driver will take you back.

Itinerary

Stop 1

Ålesund is a port town on the west coast of Norway, at the entrance to the Geirangerfjord. It’s known for the art nouveau architectural style in which most of the town was rebuilt after a fire in 1904, as documented at the Jugendstilsenteret museum. There are panoramic views of Ålesund’s architecture, the surrounding archipelago and fjords from the Mount Aksla lookout.

Innfjorden is a village in Rauma Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is situated about 10 kilometres southwest of the town of Åndalsnes and 9 kilometres southeast of the village of Måndalen along the European Route E136 highway.

Liabygda is a village in Stranda Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The village is located on the northern shore of the Norddalsfjorden, just north of the mouth of the Sunnylvsfjorden. Liabygda and its immediate vicinity are separated from the rest of the municipality by the fjord.

Ørskog Church is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Ålesund Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located in the village of Sjøholt. It is the church for the Ørskog parish which is part of the Nordre Sunnmøre prosti in the Diocese of Møre.

Sjøholt is a village in Ålesund Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The village is located along the northern shore of the Storfjorden, about 10 kilometres east of the village of Skodje. The village of Stordal is located about 18 kilometres to the south, through several tunnels.

Stop 7

Storfjorden or Storfjord is a 110-kilometre long fjord in the Sunnmøre region of Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It stretches from the village of Hareid in the west to the villages of Tafjord and Geiranger in the east.

Stop 8

Trollstigen is a serpentine mountain road and pass in Rauma Municipality, Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is part of Norwegian County Road 63 that connects the town of Åndalsnes in Rauma and the village of Valldal in Norddal Municipality.

The Troll Wall or Trollveggen is part of the mountain massif Trolltindene in the Romsdalen valley in Rauma Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located to the south of the towns of Åndalsnes and Molde inside the Reinheimen National Park.

Stop 10

Valldalen is a valley in Fjord Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located north of the Norddalsfjorden. The village of Sylte is located at the end of the valley along the fjord.
