Our Start: We kick off our journey at El Crustaceo Cascarudo, right inside Parque de las Palapas. Your guide will be waiting at the outdoor tables in front of the restaurant — easy to spot, ready to go. Morning Tour: We open with a traditional cafe de olla — Mexican coffee brewed with cinnamon and piloncillo — paired with fresh garnachas straight from the comal. The perfect way to wake up and ease into the flavors of the day.

Morning Tour: Welcome to the world of tacos de canasta — the most humble and honest tacos in Mexico. Steamed since early morning inside a basket, filled with papa, chicharron prensado, or frijol. Simple, soft, and deeply Mexican. This is what locals eat before the city wakes up. Evening Tour: A classic from the Yucatan Peninsula: the salbute — a puffed corn tortilla topped with cochinita pibil, slow-roasted pork marinated in achiote and citrus. Often incorrectly called a Yucatecan taco, this dish is in a league of its own. Add pickled red onions and a dash of habanero if you're brave — taste history in every mouthful. Morning Tour: We close the taco journey the only way it makes sense in Mexico — with a cold michelada. Beer, lime, salt, and your choice of chile or clamato. The perfect morning-after drink that is somehow also the perfect morning drink. Salud. Evening Tour: We end with something truly special — pulque curado. One of Mexico's oldest fermented drinks, made from the agave plant long before tequila existed. Tonight's flavor? Whatever fruit is in season.
