Take a full-day trip out of Mexico City to admire Taxco, a unique colonial town famous for its silver works.
Taxco is a colonial city with thousands of years of history. There, you will visit one of the most beautiful churches of Mexico, Santa Prisca; built in 1759 by the French immigrant José de la Borda, who literally ran into a huge amount of silver.
Visit an ancient pre-Hispanic mine, explore it and discover the mysteries it has kept for hundreds of years.
Taxco is known for its silver mines and quality stores. You will have the opportunity to visit a silver workshop, see and purchase works of art made by Mexican artisans. Enjoy a traditional lunch at a local restaurant during your time in Taxco (if option selected).
