Itinerary

Stop 1
[Schedule] Please arrive at the meeting point 10 minutes before the departure time. Meeting Point: JR Tozai Line / Gakkentoshi Line “Nozaki” Station Travel: Walk to Nozaki Kannon (about 15 minutes) [Nozaki Kannon Jigen-ji] ・Stroll through the grounds of Nozaki Kannon (10 minutes) Your guide will show you the scenic views overlooking Osaka’s cityscape and the temple gardens. ・Worship: Visit Nozaki Kannon Jigen-ji (5 minutes) ・Zazen meditation inside the main hall (40 minutes) Move inside the temple and experience Soto Zen-style zazen practice. After the chief priest explains the posture and etiquette, begin zazen in a sitting posture similar to cross-legged seated position in the main hall. ・Listen to a Dharma talk (10 minutes) Reflect on your own emotions while listening to the priest’s teaching. ・Offering a prayer paper and receiving a Zen calligraphy seal (15 minutes) Write your wish on a prayer paper, and the chief priest will add a handwritten message.

- For those who find it difficult to continue sitting in the zazen posture, chairs can be provided upon request.
- We recommend wearing loose-fitting pants or clothing that allows you to sit comfortably. Please refrain from wearing short tight skirts.
- Since the meditation is done barefoot, we recommend wearing socks that are easy to remove.
