At Kasugataisha Shrine, travelers will step into a sacred space rich with over 1,300 years of history. Surrounded by an ancient forest, the shrine is famed for its thousands of bronze and stone lanterns, creating a mystical atmosphere. Travelers will explore the serene beauty of Nara Park, where they can stroll among over a thousand friendly, free-roaming deer in a peaceful natural setting. From there, they’ll walk to Todai-ji Chumon, the impressive Central Gate of Todai-ji Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a symbol of the Nara Period. Passing through the gate, they’ll be awed by the grandeur of Todai-ji’s Daibutsuden, one of the world’s largest wooden buildings. Inside this vast hall stands the massive bronze Great Buddha (Daibutsu), a towering figure that embodies the spiritual and architectural achievements of 8th-century Japan.
