Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine is one of Japan’s most important Shinto shrines, dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane, the deity of learning, culture, and scholarship. Surrounded by over 6,000 plum trees, tranquil ponds, and iconic red bridges, the shrine offers a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere. Many visitors, especially students, come here to pray for academic success and good fortune, making it both a cultural and spiritual highlight of Kyushu.

On this exciting day trip from Fukuoka, travelers will experience some of Kyushu’s most famous highlights. Ride the scenic Yufuin no Mori sightseeing train through lush mountains and countryside, then explore the charming streets of Yufuin Town and the fairytale-style Yufuin Floral Village. Visit the historic Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, a cultural landmark surrounded by nature and tradition. Finally, take in panoramic views of Beppu and its surrounding hot spring region from the Beppu Ropeway, making this a journey filled with scenery, culture, and unforgettable sights. If the Beppu Ropeway is out of service, we will visit Umi Jigoku

Yufuin is a picturesque hot spring town nestled at the foot of Mount Yufu, known for its charming streets lined with boutiques, cafés, and galleries. The town’s highlight is the scenic Kinrin Lake, famous for its morning mist rising from the water, creating a magical and tranquil view. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks around the lake, soak in natural hot springs, and experience the perfect blend of nature, culture, and relaxation.
