Stop 1
The design of the Aragonese layout was drawn up by Ciro Ciri with the collaboration of Francesco di Giorgio Martini from 1485 to 1498. A striking 15th-century fortress built by the Aragonese to defend the city. Known for its massive bastions and towers, guarding Otranto’s historic heart. Today it serves as a venue for exhibitions and cultural events, while its exterior walls remain a symbol of the town’s resilience. visit only from outside

Santa Maria di Leuca, often simply called Leuca, is the southernmost tip of the Salento peninsula, where the Ionian and Adriatic Seas meet. It’s famous for: The Basilica of Santa Maria de Finibus Terrae, a sanctuary said to be built on a former Roman temple dedicated to Minerva. The lighthouse, one of the tallest in Italy, offering sweeping coastal views. Its scenic promenade and marina, lined with Liberty-style villas. Stunning sea caves and grottoes, accessible by boat. It’s often described as the “land’s end” of Italy, a place of natural beauty, spirituality, and breathtaking panoramas.

A working little port nestled underneath the castle ramparts, full of colourful fishing boats and fishermen working on their boats and nets.

Stop 4
One of the most iconic and picturesque districts in Alberobello, and a key part of why the town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's the largest concentration of trulli—those famous whitewashed, conical-roofed houses unique to the region.

This quiet and calm area is great for photos. The name derives from the ancient custom of beating wheat in the square.

It has narrow streets lined by artisan workshops, souvenir shops, cafes, and restaurants; you can get the feeling you are in a theme park or an amusement park.
