Stop 2
The Kourtaliotiko Gorge, also known as the Asomatos Gorge , is a gorge on the southern side of the western part of the island of Crete. It is situated where the Kourtaliotiko River flows southwards between the mountains of Kouroupa and Xiron.

Stop 3
The monastery is peaceful and clean with an old-world charm. There is even a little museum inside as well as a small shop where the monks sell quality Cretan honey they themselves produce. They also sell handmade beeswax candles, prayer ropes and incense; all made by the monks. You can even find religious books. All the money goes to the monastery's upkeep and with only four monks left the locals to help out a lot. Right outside the monastery is a little cafe. There are also many beautiful flowers and a zoo. A must-see for visitors to the island of Crete.

The beautiful surrounding countryside, fine walks, and gorges. A big crescent bay holding a fine beach between two immense wind tunnels, the gorges of Selia and Kourtaliiotiko.
