Itinerary

1
Stop 1
Tholos is the imposing circular building that emerges at the sanctuary of Athena Pronaia. As a part of Delphi, the UNESCO World Heritage Site constitutes one of the most highlighted sights of the region. Its shape and combination of architectural designs and materials make it so unique. Built-in the 4th century BCE and about half a kilometer from the museum and the archeological site, this impressive temple welcomes you to the formidable Delphi and wander through ancient Greek history
2
Stop 2
The next stop is none other than the famous Archeological Site of Delphi and the Temple of Apollo the god of sun, archery, music, prophecy, the arts, and healing. Apollo was the protector of the region and was worshipped there like no other god. The temple of Apollo became the home of the most popular priestess of that period, Pythia. Legend has it, that Pythia would inhale fumes coming from a schism in the ground beneath the temple, that would bring her into a state of delirium crying out words, which the priest of the oracle would interpret as the prophecy. Pythia made the oracle so famous that it would be visited from all around the world in order to provide answers to crucial political, religious, and military issues

Stop 3
Delphi Archeological Museum constitutes one of the most significant and visited museums in Greece. Founded in 1903, it has gone through several phases until it reached the enhanced form we see today. It hosts, not only discoveries made at the Panhellenic sanctuary in Delphi but also the kouroi of Delphi, the cyclix of Apollo, the Charioteer, and early Byzantine mosaics amongst many other considerable exhibits.
4
Stop 4
After we visit the Archeological Sites, the museum follows a stop for lunch at a traditional restaurant in Delphi. The breathtaking view and the local food are the best way to continue the journey.
5
Stop 5
Last stop a relaxing walk in Arachova. A beautiful, retro village just 10 minutes away from Delphi. Little streets, stone houses, traditional markets, and handmade artifacts are some of the things that make Arachova unique.
