Anchiskhati Basilica is the oldest church standing in Tbilisi. Originally built in the 6th century, it remains the oldest cultural, religious and historical relic in the old town.

The yard of the Metekhi Cathedral is the best for old town views. Also in the yard we have a statue of the legendary king of Georgia, Vakhtang Gorgasali - the founder of the city. The sulfur bath district (Abanotubani), is located in a legendary place, where the legend of the city starts.

Tbilisi was always proud of being a multicultural city. Before 1991, 50,000 Jews used to live in the city. Nowadays the community is much smaller, but the friendship of Georgian and Israeli people remains very strong.

The Monument of "Tamada" (Toastmaster). The original version of the monument was found near Vani town (West Georgia) in the 7th century BC.

Once the main cathedral of the city - Sioni, remains to be another pearl of the old city. Seeing a lot of invasions and destructions, it still stands in the heart of the old town, preserving the most important religious relic for Georgians - St. Nino Cross.
