Itinerary

It has 50 thousand square meters and six floors, divided into 440 apartments and 13 large rooms up to 10 meters high. The dome of the Salão Mauá is the largest concrete dome in the world, measuring 30m in height and 50m in diameter. A large amount of sand from Copacabana beach was used in the construction of the lake.

It opened in 1884 to house exhibitions of flowers, birds and agricultural products. Its precast structure, in cast iron, was ordered from a foundry in France by Count D`Eu, being assembled in Petrópolis by engineer Eduardo Bonjean. Today it hosts cultural events and exhibitions.

One of the oldest chocolate factories in Petrópolis, we can visit the store, which in addition to delicious chocolates, we can also have access to souvenirs that are sold there.

Museu Casa de Santos Dumont, better known as A Encantada, is located in the municipality of Petrópolis, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Santos Dumont's house in Petrópolis is a picturesque residence embedded in a steep location in the city built in 1918.
