Itinerary

Stop 1
After arriving at Cascades Female Factory, a one-time female prison you are met by a guide to join the Convict Women's Tour. Over a period of 45 minutes, you will gain valuable insights into the history of the Female Factory, the convict system of punishment and reform and offer a glimpse of what life was like for the thousands of women transported to Van Dieman's Land. At the conclusion of the tour, you will have time to wander at your own pace and peruse the gallery, gift shop and interpretive displays.

Stop 2
Travel to the suburb of South Hobart, at the foothills of kunanyi/Mt Wellington and stop at the Cascade Gardens. Here you have the option to walk through these classic gardens with established plants and trees nestled on the banks of the Hobart Rivulet.

Stop 3
We enjoy a photo-stop outside the famous Cascade Brewery - the oldest continually operated brewery in Australia. View the exterior of this famous building with kunanyi/Mt Wellington a picturesque back-drop. A photo opportunity not to be missed.

Stop 4
Enjoy the informative, live commentary on board as we tour around Sullivans Cove - Hobart's birthplace. Pass by Parliament House then view the Georgian style warehouses of historic Salamanca Place.
