1-Day Machu Picchu Tour from Cusco, Peru

Spend the day at Machu Picchu, one of Peru’s grandest sites, on this day trip from Cusco.

Travel by bus and train, with fantastic views along the way, before enjoying a 2-hour guided tour around the ancient Incan citadel.

Round-trip train tickets, bus transfers, entrance fees, and a guided tour are included.

Today you will visit Machu Picchu.

We will pick you up from your hotel at 4:50am, then drive for two hour to the train stations Ollantaytambo.

At 7:05 am you will catch the Vistadome train with large windows for other two hour till Aguas Calientes town, then you will take the tourist buses up to Machu Picchu.

30 minute bus ride to Machu Picchu, your tour guide will take you to the best Lookout point.

Then, we will start the two hour guided, walking tour, exploring all of the famous places of this impressive citadel: The Temple of the Sun, The Royal Tomb, The Intiwatana (sun dial rock), Main Plaza, Temple of the 3 Windows, The Artisan Sector, the Condor Temple and many others.

After the tour, you will have time to explore the ruins on your own.

You will need to take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes to enjoy lunch at one of the many restaurants there.

Be sure to arrive at the train station 30 minutes before your departure.

You will catch the Vistadome train at 6:10 pm rides two hours to Ollantaytambo,  then by us for another two hour drive back to Cusco ends 10:30pm.
