Itinerary

Stop 1
Start your adventure by meeting your friendly local guide in near husseini mosque, one of the most important mosques in downtown Amman, built in the early 20th century on the site of an older mosque. Learn about the role of the mosque in the daily life of locals and the history behind its construction. your guide will give you an introduction to the city, sharing insights into Amman’s history and modern-day life. Close to this mosque are two famous souqs: Souq Bukharia (good for getting souvenirs) and Souq Al-Sukar (fruit, vegetables, nuts and spices.)
2
Stop 2
The Balad is the oldest section of the city which is made up of a myriad of markets. The area's long history leaves a large number of historical sites, such as the Amman Citadel, the Roman Theatre ( we advise our guests to visit Amman citadel and the theater before or after the tour ), and the Roman Nymphaeum which we will pass by during the tour. Stop at a traditional Jordanian bakery for a quick snack. Sample freshly baked Ka’ak (sesame bread) or a Falafel sandwich, giving you a taste of the local street food and enjoy the food samples along the tour.
3
Stop 3
You will get to try the hidden gems, you will visit Many shops in Amman Downtown from spices shops to making your own perfume, traditional clothing, and souvenirs and more. Dive into Amman’s lively souks, where you can experience the vibrant atmosphere of the local markets. Explore the Gold Souk, Spice Market, and the bustling Fruit & Vegetable Market. Your guide will help you navigate the stalls and share stories about the local traders and traditional products.
4
Stop 4
This historic townhouse, built in 1924, has served as a post office (Amman's first), the Ministry of Finance and a hotel. Today, it has been restored with period furnishings by a prominent Jordanian businessman, who is also the duke of the village of Mukhaybeh. The collection of old photos of Amman provide an interesting glimpse of a bygone age. It's all quite underplayed, but rather charming nonetheless.
5
Stop 5
you will be tasting a sweet dish called Kunafa, made by The Habibah family who are making these sweets since the 1940s....so they must be doing something right.
