We will start off the day in an organic Tortilleria and watch the whole process of making tortillas from scratch, learn about the story of the nixtamalization process, and how deeply maiz is embedded in the Mexican culture. We will continue on a walking tour through the charming Condesa and Roma neighborhoods, discover and taste a wide variety of authentic regional tacos from across Mexico, and learn about their history. We will also explore a local market where you will learn about some of the staple ingredients used in Mexican cuisine. There is no better way to wash down tacos with a delicious agua fresca or a cold beer. We will finish with amazing Mexican coffee and artisanal chocolate.
