The original foundations date back to 1050, four years before the split of Christianity. After 45 minutes of site visit, we will drive further up the mountain to our next stop of Rustovo monastery, the women's monastery of the Orthodox Church. It is dedicated to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin. There we will have chance to buy local products made by nuns and to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the place.

Departure is from Budva . Our first pause will be monastery Ostrog. Monastery Ostrog is consisted out of Higher(church of Holy Cross-1665) and lower church(church of Holy Trinity-1824). In Higher church are located relics of St.Basil of Ostrog. To the higher church you can come by foot or taxi. Over there you will have some 2h30min time to visit monastery, after which you will have lunch break. Return back to Budva around 16:00h.
