This particular area is blessed with great rural scenery which passes through some pretty small villages. The brewpubs are from another time, simple but of great value. Regional specialties like Geräuchertes (smoked ham) go perfectly with the the very much local brews, often served via gravity dispense. These are beers you're not going to find back home and they'll have you pining for them once back there.
