All Catman Surf School lessons start on the sand with ocean awareness and safety. We’ll go over the basics on how to position yourself on the board, paddling, and how to pop up. Afterwards, we’ll transition to the surf, followed by your first go at small white water waves. Your safety always come first, and Sergio will be by your side every step of the way. Once in the water, he’ll show you how to read the waves, position your take off, and the etiquette of wave riding. His private lessons are built to make your adventure on the waves one to remember. Our instructors are high-performance athletes and belong to the Colombian surf team and have participated in different championships surfing incredible waves in various parts of the world. Get a fun-filled introduction with this 2-hour lesson at Barbers Point, a beach on the west side of Oahu that has good waves and no crowds. Your expert instructor shows you the basics to get you up on the board and catching waves. Choose a private one-on-one lesson or a small-group lesson with no more than four people per instructor.
