Driver will pass you the entrance tickets. The Jim Thompson House in Bangkok is a top thing to do in the city since it showcases traditional Thai home design and decor. Jim Thompson was an American expat and former architect who moved to Thailand and decided to start a textile business. While living in Thailand, he became intrigued by Thai architecture and wanted to build a house that was based on the traditional style of Thai houses. The house that was to become known as the Jim Thompson House became a legend of sorts in Bangkok due to its opulence, attention to traditional detail, art collection, and vast vegetation surrounding the half acre of property in the middle of Bangkok.

The Hearthstone is a large, beautifully restored Queen Anne Victorian Style home built in 1882 by Henry J. Rogers, Superintendent of the Appleton Paper and Pulp Mill. On September 30, 1882, Hearthstone was the first house in the world to be lit by an Edison central hydroelectric power station. The house retains many unique, genuine features, including the original Thomas Edison electroliers and light switches.

Palazzo Falson Historic House Museum is one of the finest cultural attractions on the island with thousands of paintings, silver, furniture, jewellery, Oriental rugs, armoury, books and manuscripts. Palazzo Falson's most recent owner and resident was Captain Olof Frederick Gollcher O.B.E. (1889-1962) of Swedish descent.
