We propose to spend a day with us in a small friendly group to discover a beautiful nature, endemic flora and fauna and the amazing environment of Mount Etna. We will pick you up in the morning in the certain meeting point (8.30 piazza Stesicoro 32, Catania or 9.15 piazza S.Alfio in Trecastagni – PLEASE SPECIFY WHERE). On the way to Etna we will stop on a village for a coffee break and to buy food for the lunch time. We will drive to reach the altitude of 2.000 above sea level. At this altitude we will start our moderate hike off the beaten tracks (approx. 3 hours) to admire the fascinating landscape of the Valle del Bove, the biggest caldera of Mount Etna and its moon like deserts. From there we will enjoy breathtaking views of the summit craters and the surrounding landscapes facing the Ionian Sea. The ascent is carried out by cable car and 4 × 4 minibuses up to an altitude of 2900m in the area of Torre del Filosofo, from here after about 1.5h of uphill walking you will arrive on the edge of the central crater from which you can observe the Bocca Nuova (3250m ), which opened in 1968, probably the most impressive crater. Starting from Catania, one our guide will lead you along a beautiful naturalistic path, while explaining the origins of our Volcano. At 2000 mt you will catch cable car to reach 2500 mt and then on a 4×4 vehicle you will go up 2950 mt. Alpine guides will show you the beautiful landscape of the base of the summit craters seeing at 1 km of distance the main crater. Please note that the cost of the cable car and 4×4 ticket is not included in the tour price,you will pay them to the guide directly on the day of the tour (70€). * In winter time, in case the trails are covered by a thick layer of snow (usually from January to March), part of the excursion will take place using snowshoes and sticks. It could be possible that you will go on the snow cat vehicle with an extra cost of 30 euro per person. Then, join with us the visit of a cave of volcanic origins with all the equipment provided by us. At lunchtime enjoy a lunch made of Sicilian typical street food, water, and local wine.

The Etna 2000 Morning jeep tour is designed to give everyone the chance to discover the most important places of Etna and to have a complete picture of its history, evolution and activity. We will begin the excursion from the lava flows that in past centuries destroyed the Etna villages and we will arrive at about 2000m above sea level at the ski and tourist resort of Mount Etna. Along the way, equipped with helmets and torches, we will visit a wonderful volcanic cave (lava tube), the famous Valle del Bove from a lookout and always accompanied by our passionate guides we will make a pleasant trek around the side craters, like the Silvestri Craters . In fact, there are over 300 extinct lateral craters on Mount Etna. Surrounded by a landscape, sometimes lunar, we will try to get to know and explore Etna, a World Heritage Site, famous for its beauty and uniqueness. We will cross: Deserts of Black Sand; Ancient and recent lava flows; Old craters and lava tubes. Difficulty: Easy Maximum altitude: about 2100 m; Duration of the trek: about 1.5 / 2 hours; Height difference: about 100 m. In the event of adverse weather conditions or real security risks, the route can be changed!! Other things to keep in mind: The duration of the experience is indicative. Unpredictable situations could cause the experience to end later than expected. It is always better not to make the day of the experience coincide with the date of your flight, if the scheduled time is too close to your departure/arrival. It is important to wear hiking shoes or that you are not afraid to get dirty.

First stop after 45/50 minutes driving. Throughout the journey, the guide will tell about places you cross by car. Second stop, panoramic walk through ancient lava fields, extinct craters and the typical flora of Etna. Third and last stop, tourist station of Etna north, where the traces of the last great eruption of Etna are still visible. Possibility to buy souvenirs and typical products. We recommend to wear: warm and layered clothing (autumn/winter) weather can vary at any time. Mandatory: comfortable shoes (sneakers are enough). Our trip crosses right through the Etna Regional Park to reach 2000m altitude on the highest active volcano in Europe, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013. Our tour leader will explain all the natural features and history of Etna. The journey includes visits in safe conditions to panoramic craters, no longer active and a cave if good visibility and wearing solid hiking shoes. You will have the opportunity to take pictures of the stunning moonscapes and enjoy a tasting of local produce, such as honey, wine, olive oil and more, at a farm shop. On request at booking it is possible to combine a trip to Taormina or a visit to a winery with a light lunch. We won't be taking you on a crowded bus or van – the maximum number is 6 people in the same vehicle. In order to provide a high quality service, we need to receive reservations not later than 4 days before the tour. Bookings arriving later cant be accepted.

The Etna 3000 excursion is a tour that allows you to experience the thrill of walking literally surrounded by surreal views. The first part of the tour takes place by cable car, from the Sapienza refuge (1960 mt) to the arrival station of the Etna cable car (2510 mt), from here we will proceed in trekking to visit the Pian del Lago, a false plane of volcanic sand that creates a surreal lunar landscape, we will then climb the crater of the 2001 eruption, from where you can admire the nearby summit craters and the coast. Once you reach the lava fronts of the last eruptions (2018) you will reach a very panoramic area on the famous Valle del Bove, a vast depression generated by the collapse of an ancient volcanic building. The maximum altitude reached with this tour is variable between 2750 and 2950 meters. LANGUAGE: It is possible to indicate the preference of the language of the tour between Italian, English.
